“FIREPOWER”

Junior MYF - Grades 6th – 8th

Senior MYF – Grades 9th – 12th

The MYF is a Christ filled, active group with a strong objective in making a difference in Christ's world. Our goal is to help the youth apply Christian principles to their lives and teach them that ONE person, standing with JESUS, can make a difference in this

world and in the lives of others. We have discussions on how to conduct ourselves as Christians, in a secular world full of peer pressure, making difficult decisions that affect today's youth daily. We have an elected Youth Council and the youth make decisions on which outside missions we do as a group. “FIREPOWER” (Friends In Reaching Everyone thru Prayer, Outreach, WORD, Evangelism, Relationships), participates in Relay for Life through the American Cancer Society, Adopt A Highway through NCDOT, Stop Hunger Now, 30 Hour Famine and Carolina Cross Connection Mission Projects.  In addition the MYF actively partakes in all the North Carolina Conference youth events. We meet on the second and fourth Sunday of the month at 5:00pm.

Our MYF motto is Philippians 4:13.

“I mean that you have been saved by grace through believing. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God. It was not the result of your own efforts, so you cannot brag about it.”
